Stagnate

\

  • “Star-crossed lovers”
  • This particular being is rather… easily attached. She grow to enjoy the company of one individual within infinite dimensions
  • She happens to… possess, and impersonate dead individuals and seek out this individual no matter the universe
    • Benefits come with her being technically immortal and able to travel the multiverse
  • Rather possessive, rather obsessive, rather codependent.
  • How did this iteration end? Simple. Heartbreak from an action taken too far.
  • When slowly she stops seeing him as a person
    • When slowly she compares him with his previous versions
    • When slowly she starts changing him to fit her vision
    • When slowly… he had enough.
  • It was quite short lived, this iteration. Things progress seemingly quickly.

Mae is not ready to let go.

She needs him. She cannot exist without him. She is not Mae without him to utter her name.

It needs him.

And so it chases him to the ends of the multiverse.

The jump was accidental. A happy accident, it thinks.

Another chance to see him. Another chance to gain its happy ending.

And so it searches. It scours. It rebuilds what it lost.

But humans are fragile. They are not meant to last for eternity.

It new that. But at the moment, it becomes she and she becomes Mae even for a short while.

And once he takes his final breath, it repeats the cycle.

A life of eternity with him.

That is what it yearns for in all timelines.
